Accessibility and inclusive digital

We remove the barriers that stop students with disabilities from using your digital services.

Accessibility in education covers websites, the LMS, documents and the way accommodations are requested. We test against WCAG 2.2 with assistive technology, publish conformance reports, fix the barriers with the most impact first and set up a workflow for students to request accommodations.

Inclusion is stated policy in both countries, from the UAE's policies for people of determination to Saudi Arabia's Authority for the Care of Persons with Disabilities, and digital accessibility is part of both countries' digital government standards.

How the work is organised

  • Testing with assistive technology

Screen reader, magnifier and keyboard-only checks in Arabic and English.

  • Conformance reports

Reports that show where each platform meets WCAG 2.2 and where it does not yet.

  • Accommodation workflows

Students request accommodations once, and approved arrangements reach the staff who apply them.

Are you ready to start?

The academic calendar decides when change can happen, so these points are best settled at least a term ahead.

  • The platforms to test first are chosen.
  • Students who use assistive technology can take part in testing.
  • An owner for accommodation requests is named.
