Design systems and UI

Interface design that developers can build exactly, in Arabic and English.

Hand placing a sticky note on a workshop wall of blank notes

We design the interface layer: Figma libraries, content design, interaction patterns and accessibility annotations that developers can build from without guessing. Handoff is checked, so what ships matches what was designed, in both Arabic and English layouts.

Arabic interfaces need their own content design, not translated labels: string lengths, Gulf business register and typefaces that stay legible at small sizes are settled in the library, not screen by screen.

What the engagement covers

  • Figma libraries

Components and patterns in Figma, linked to the coded design system where one exists.

  • Content design

Interface text written for each language, with right-to-left layouts designed from the start rather than mirrored at the end.

  • Handoff QA

A review of built screens against the design, covering spacing, states and accessibility annotations.

  • Decisions grounded in evidence

Every design choice traced back to research, testing or an agreed constraint.

  • Bilingual by default

Arabic and English designed together, with right-to-left layouts and content reviewed in both languages.

When the design layer needs work

The signs are screens built differently from their designs and Arabic layouts fixed late.

  • Developers ask designers the same questions on every screen.
  • Arabic screens are mirrored from English at the end.
  • Designs lack states such as errors, empty screens and loading.
