Platform implementation

ThoughtSpot

We implement ThoughtSpot so business users can type a question and trust the answer, by building the models, synonyms and Liveboards that keep search-based analytics accurate.

With ThoughtSpot, answer quality depends on the model behind the search bar: joins, column names, synonyms and which columns stay hidden. ThoughtSpot Cloud queries your cloud warehouse live, so the data stays in that warehouse and its region, and we check where the ThoughtSpot instance itself is hosted against your obligations under the UAE and Saudi personal data protection laws.

Delivery starts with Models, formerly Worksheets, built on warehouse tables, then moves to Answers and Liveboards that teams pin and share. Model definitions are exported as TML files and kept in Git, so changes are reviewed and promoted between development and production orgs. Spotter, the AI agent, and SpotIQ insights are switched on only once the model answers test questions correctly.

How we implement ThoughtSpot

Implementation, customisation, deployment and ongoing support, with governance your steering committee can follow.

  • Blueprint and governance

We agree the business questions the first release must answer, the tables and joins behind each model, and the synonym list, and the business sponsor and data owners sign them off.

  • Question bank and testing

Real questions from each department with their expected answers, used to test the model before users are let in.

  • Row-level security on live data

Rules that filter rows by user group, or pass-through of the warehouse's own security, checked with test accounts from each department.

  • Embedding with the Visual Embed SDK

Search and Liveboards embedded in portals or internal apps, with sign-in handled by your identity provider.

  • Hypercare and managed support

The vendor updates ThoughtSpot Cloud frequently, so we read the release notes, rerun the question bank after each update, and watch warehouse query cost and searches that return nothing useful.

Is ThoughtSpot right for your users?

ThoughtSpot fits when many business users need answers without waiting for an analyst, and the data already sits in a cloud warehouse such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery or Redshift.

  • Data in a cloud warehouse with clean, documented tables
  • Business users who want to ask their own questions
  • Warehouse spend under watch, since every search runs a live query
  • Agreed business terms ready to become synonyms
