Platform implementation

R3 Corda

We build CorDapps on R3 Corda so that only the parties to a deal, and its notary, ever see the transaction, a model that matches banking confidentiality.

Empty data centre aisle between rows of server racks

Corda does not broadcast transactions: each one goes only to the parties involved and is checked by a notary to prevent double spending. That suits Gulf banks and financial institutions that cannot share client data with competitors on the same network, and it keeps personal data with the parties who hold it, which narrows what has to be assessed under the UAE PDPL and Saudi Arabia's PDPL.

Work centres on the three parts of a CorDapp: states that hold the shared facts, contracts that decide which changes are valid, and flows that drive the exchange between nodes. We size notary clusters for expected volume, choose between validating and non-validating notaries, and set contract constraints so CorDapp upgrades are controlled by signature.

How we implement R3 Corda

Design, build, integration and run-state support, with each decision recorded for your steering committee.

  • Blueprint and governance

States, the transactions each party may start, the notary design and onboarding rules are settled first, with the participating institutions' architects and compliance teams signing them off.

  • Notary design

A choice of notary type and cluster size, with failover tested, since every transaction waits on it.

  • Vault queries and reporting

Queries on each node's vault and reports that give every institution its own view of open and settled deals.

  • Core banking integration

Flows connected to core banking, payments and sanctions screening, so a deal settles only after internal checks pass.

  • Hypercare and managed support

We plan Corda platform and CorDapp upgrades with every party, watch notary latency and flow failures, and manage vault growth on each node.

Deals that suit Corda's model

Corda fits financial institutions and their counterparties working through bilateral agreements, such as trade finance, syndicated loans or securities settlement, where data must be shared strictly on a need-to-know basis.

  • Transactions between a small, known set of parties
  • Counterparties ready to run a Corda node
  • Developers working in Kotlin or Java
  • A compliance view on who may host the notary
