Slack Enterprise Grid
We set up Slack Enterprise Grid as a governed organisation of workspaces, with Slack Connect for partners, retention and legal holds in place, and workflows that replace long email chains.
Structure is the first job on Grid: how many workspaces, which channels are organisation-wide, who may open Slack Connect channels with outside companies, and how long messages are kept. Slack offers data residency in a set list of regions, so we check whether one of them meets your sector's requirement before committing. Where none does, Enterprise Key Management can keep the encryption keys under your control in AWS KMS.
Users are provisioned from your identity provider by SCIM, with SSO enforced at organisation level. We build the workspace and channel taxonomy, set organisation policies for retention, file sharing and app approval, and connect the tools teams already use through approved apps. Workflow Builder handles routine requests such as approvals and service desk intake, and the Audit Logs API feeds your SIEM.

Slack ships changes continuously rather than in numbered versions, so we review admin announcements, keep the app inventory and approvals current, and watch audit log events, Slack Connect requests and storage against retention policy.
