Platform implementation

Salesforce CPQ and Billing

We implement Salesforce CPQ and Billing so sales can configure, price and quote inside Salesforce, and the same order flows on to invoices and revenue schedules.

Most of the effort goes into the product catalogue, price rules and approvals, then into renewals, amendments and billing for subscription contracts. Invoices raised in Salesforce Billing for Saudi customers fall under ZATCA's Fatoora e-invoicing, which in its second phase requires B2B tax invoices to be cleared by ZATCA before they reach the buyer, usually through the ERP or an e-invoicing provider. UAE invoices will follow the Ministry of Finance e-invoicing programme as it comes into force.

Configuration lives in product and price rules, product options and bundles, and Advanced Approvals, with quote templates for customer documents. Billing adds invoice schedulers, billing rules and revenue recognition rules on order products. Changes are built in sandboxes and deployed through a controlled release pipeline, and where Salesforce Revenue Cloud is in your plans we assess the move before extending the CPQ package further.

How we implement Salesforce CPQ and Billing

From blueprint to go-live and beyond: configuration, integration and support from one accountable team.

  • Blueprint and governance

The product catalogue, bundle rules, price waterfall, discount limits and approval chains are agreed with sales operations, finance and the deal desk before any rule is built.

  • Renewals and amendments

Contracted prices, co-terming and renewal quotes set up so mid-term changes produce correct prorated amounts.

  • Guided selling

Quote flows that ask the right questions and narrow the catalogue, so new sales staff build valid quotes.

  • Payments and collections

Payment gateway links, payment runs and credit notes in Salesforce Billing, with balances reconciled to the ERP.

  • Hypercare and managed support

Salesforce issues three releases a year, in spring, summer and winter, and CPQ package updates follow their own schedule, so we test quoting, approvals and billing in a sandbox before each one. Between releases we manage price book changes, new products and rule tuning.

When quoting belongs inside Salesforce

Salesforce CPQ and Billing fit companies whose sales teams already work in Salesforce Sales Cloud and want quoting, contracts and subscription billing on the same records.

  • Salesforce Sales Cloud as the system of record for opportunities
  • A product catalogue that sales operations can own
  • Agreed discount limits and approval levels
  • A decision on where e-invoices are issued and cleared
