Platform implementation

Zuora

We implement Zuora Billing and Zuora Revenue for subscription and usage-based businesses, so every plan change, usage charge and invoice lands correctly in revenue.

Zuora is built for recurring revenue: product catalogues with rate plans and charge models, subscription changes mid-term, usage rating and revenue recognition under IFRS 15 and ASC 606. Gulf telecoms, media and software businesses often combine prepaid and postpaid models, several currencies and VAT, and Saudi invoices must pass through ZATCA's Fatoora process, often via an e-invoicing provider connected to Zuora.

We design the product catalogue first, covering products, rate plans and charges with recurring, usage and one-time models, then configure bill runs, payment runs and collections. Usage is uploaded and rated against the charges, Zuora Workflow automates the exceptions, and Zuora Revenue applies performance obligations and revenue schedules that are reconciled with the general ledger.

How we implement Zuora

From blueprint to go-live and beyond: configuration, integration and support from one accountable team.

  • Blueprint and governance

The product catalogue, charge models, billing calendars, revenue recognition policies and the general ledger mapping are agreed with finance, revenue accounting and the product teams before configuration.

  • Usage rating

Usage data from your platforms loaded, validated and rated, with rejected records handled before the bill run.

  • Dunning and collections

Payment retries, reminder steps and account holds, set by customer segment.

  • Migration of live subscriptions

Active subscriptions, balances and history moved from the old billing system and reconciled invoice by invoice.

  • Hypercare and managed support

Zuora updates its cloud service regularly, so we test bill runs, usage rating and revenue schedules in the sandbox against each release. After go-live we watch the first billing cycles closely, reconcile billing to revenue every month and manage catalogue changes.

When Zuora fits a subscription business

Zuora fits companies with large subscriber bases, complex pricing and usage, and revenue accounting needs that have outgrown simpler billing tools.

  • Thousands of subscriptions, or complex usage-based pricing
  • Revenue accounting that must follow IFRS 15 at contract level
  • A product team able to own the catalogue
  • Clean data on live subscriptions ready to migrate
