Platform implementation

Wolters Kluwer Enablon

We implement Enablon for operators of high-hazard sites, so incidents, permits to work and audit findings follow one process across plants, contractors and countries.

Enablon projects in the region usually centre on incident management, control of work and audit readiness in oil and gas, utilities, chemicals and construction. With large contractor workforces, incident reporting must be simple on a phone for staff who may not read English, so forms are designed in Arabic and English and tested in the field.

Enablon is built from modules: incidents, risk, audits and inspections, control of work and environmental management share one data model of sites, organisational units and people. We configure forms, workflows and roles, set up the mobile app for field reporting, and load sites and units from HR and asset systems.

How we implement Wolters Kluwer Enablon

Design, build, integration and run-state support, with each decision recorded for your steering committee.

  • Blueprint and governance

Before configuration, the HSE director and operations approve the site and organisation hierarchy, the incident classification and severity matrix, and the permit types with their isolation steps.

  • Control of work

Permit-to-work types, isolations and checks on simultaneous operations, configured with operations so conflicting permits in the same area are visible.

  • Investigation and root cause

Investigation workflows with root cause methods, corrective actions and lessons learned shared across sites.

  • Audit and inspection programmes

Audit protocols and inspection checklists for each site, with findings tracked through to closure.

  • Hypercare and managed support

Wolters Kluwer releases new Enablon versions on its own schedule; we test each against your configuration, keep site and organisation data in step with HR changes, and watch overdue actions and mobile sync issues.

When Enablon fits the risk profile

Enablon suits large, multi-site operators in high-hazard sectors that need permit to work and process risk alongside incidents and sustainability on one platform.

  • Several high-hazard sites with permit-to-work processes
  • A group HSE function that sets standards for every site
  • Large contractor workforces reporting from the field
  • An asset register or plant hierarchy to build on
