ERP solutions in retail and e-commerce

We implement ERP so finance, procurement and operations move to one set of processes and one ledger, with migration rehearsed before cutover.

An ERP programme rebuilds how finance, procurement and operations record their work, so fit-gap decisions, data migration and cutover planning carry most of the risk. We agree the target processes and the chart of accounts early, rehearse migration more than once and plan cutover around your financial calendar.

Retailers trade on thin margins, with peaks around Ramadan, Eid and White Friday and customers who move between app, website and store in a single purchase. Merchandising, store operations and digital teams each own part of that journey, so we plan changes around the trading calendar. In the UAE the design has to cover Federal Tax Authority VAT returns and the national e-invoicing programme, and in Saudi Arabia ZATCA VAT and the FATOORAH e-invoicing integration.

We hand over with runbooks and training, and can stay on under agreed service levels.

Alongside sector regulation, we often map delivery evidence to cross-industry baselines such as the UAE Information Assurance Regulation issued by TDRA, the NCA Essential Cybersecurity Controls in Saudi Arabia and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, which many risk reviewers already use.

How the work is organised

From design to stable operation, with the evidence commercial leadership, finance and the privacy office ask for.

  • Fit-gap and process design

Standard processes adopted where they fit, with each gap given a decision, an owner and an agreed approach.

  • Data migration and reconciliation

Rehearsed loads of master data and open balances, reconciled and signed off by finance before cutover.

  • Cutover and stabilisation

A cutover plan built around period-end, a stabilisation period after go-live and clear criteria for closing it.

  • Consumer and data rules

We design consent, returns and customer data handling around consumer protection rules and personal data law in each market, such as the UAE PDPL and the Saudi PDPL, with ZATCA e-invoicing requirements where Saudi sales are in scope.

  • Tax and e-invoicing

VAT codes, tax reports and e-invoicing interfaces configured and tested for each country in scope.

  • Integration with surrounding systems

Interfaces to banks, payroll, CRM and reporting, each with an owner and a reconciliation check.

Checks before you start

An ERP programme is ready to start when the entities and processes in scope are fixed and finance has set time aside for testing and sign-off.

  • Privacy has decided the consent model for customer data.
  • Finance has named the period-end that cutover must avoid and the people who will sign off migrated balances.
  • The legal entities and countries in the first release have been agreed.
