Platform implementation

CyberArk Identity and PAM

We put privileged accounts under CyberArk: credentials vaulted and rotated, administrator sessions isolated and recorded, and application secrets taken out of scripts and configuration files.

The centre of a CyberArk programme is the Vault and the safes inside it, with rotation, session and secrets components built around them. CyberArk can run self-hosted in your own data centre or as Privilege Cloud, and for Saudi entities working to NCA ECC, or UAE entities under the Information Assurance Regulation, that hosting choice is often the security office's first decision. Both frameworks address privileged accounts directly, so the safe design is mapped to their controls from the outset.

Onboarding runs platform by platform: Windows domain accounts, Unix root and service accounts, network devices, databases and cloud consoles. The Central Policy Manager rotates credentials under each platform policy, the Privileged Session Manager brokers RDP and SSH sessions so passwords never reach the administrator's desktop, and Conjur or Credential Providers replace secrets hard-coded in applications and pipelines.

How we implement CyberArk Identity and PAM

From blueprint to go-live and beyond: configuration, integration and support from one accountable team.

  • Blueprint and governance

The safe structure, naming rules, platform policies and the emergency procedure for the Vault itself are written down first, then signed off by the information security office and the owners of the systems being onboarded.

  • Account discovery and onboarding

Discovery scans that find local admin, service and domain accounts, followed by staged onboarding so no service breaks when its password first rotates.

  • Session isolation and recording

Searchable recordings of admin sessions through PSM, dual control for the most sensitive targets, and recordings kept for the period your audit policy sets.

  • Endpoint privilege

Endpoint Privilege Manager removing local admin rights from laptops and servers, with elevation rules for the applications staff genuinely need.

  • Hypercare and managed support

Self-hosted Vault, PVWA, CPM and PSM components are upgraded in planned windows after testing, while Privilege Cloud is updated by CyberArk. In both cases we watch failed rotations, unmanaged accounts that discovery turns up and the storage used by session recordings.

Why CyberArk, and when

CyberArk is the choice when the concern is privileged and machine access rather than everyday sign-in: banks, government and critical infrastructure with large server and network estates, often alongside Okta or Entra ID for staff single sign-on.

  • A first inventory of privileged and service accounts, even if incomplete
  • A hosting decision: self-hosted in your data centre or Privilege Cloud
  • Named owners for each target platform with authority to approve rotation
  • Retention periods for session recordings agreed with audit
