Platform implementation

Boomi AtomSphere

We implement Boomi AtomSphere so integration processes, trading-partner EDI and APIs run on one low-code platform, with Atoms placed where your data is allowed to live.

Neatly dressed bundles of fibre optic patch cables in a rack

Boomi work starts with where each Atom runs: in a Boomi-managed Atom Cloud, or installed on servers inside your network when data has to stay in the country or the target system cannot be reached from outside. The build then covers integration processes, EDI exchanges with suppliers and distributors, and APIs published through Boomi API Management. The B2B side matters in the region, where some distributors and logistics partners still exchange orders and invoices through a mix of EDI, flat files and email.

Processes are built on the Boomi canvas from connectors, maps and decision shapes, with shared components kept in common folders and promoted between environments as packaged deployments. Molecules give clustered runtimes for high-volume flows, and process reporting shows each execution with its documents, so support teams can find a failed record without opening log files.

How we implement Boomi AtomSphere

Design, build, integration and run-state support, with each decision recorded for your steering committee.

  • Blueprint and governance

The Atom topology, the environment and extension rules, and the naming of processes and components are settled with your integration lead and infrastructure team before the first process is built.

  • Trading partner set-up

Partner profiles, X12 or EDIFACT standards and AS2 or SFTP communication configured per partner in Boomi's B2B management, with acknowledgements tracked.

  • Environment extensions

Connection details, credentials and cross-reference tables held as environment extensions, so the same packaged process moves from test to production unchanged.

  • Screens in Boomi Flow

Simple approval or exception screens built in Boomi Flow where a person must decide before an integration carries on.

  • Hypercare and managed support

Boomi updates its platform and runtimes on a regular release schedule, so we use the release control window to apply each update to a test Atom first, then watch process failures, queue depth and partner acknowledgements in production.

Signs Boomi AtomSphere fits your integration estate

Boomi suits mid-sized and large organisations that want integration built mostly by configuration rather than code, and that carry a real B2B load with suppliers, distributors or logistics partners.

  • An inventory of the partners and file formats exchanged today
  • Servers or a private cloud ready to host local Atoms where data must stay in the country
  • An integration lead who decides which components are shared
  • Agreement on who handles a failed partner document out of hours
