Platform implementation

MuleSoft Anypoint Platform

We build MuleSoft Anypoint Platform around reusable system, process and experience APIs, so each new channel or partner connects to assets you already own instead of a fresh integration.

Neatly dressed bundles of fibre optic patch cables in a rack

On MuleSoft, the work centres on API-led connectivity: deciding which system APIs sit in front of ERP, CRM and core records, and publishing them in Anypoint Exchange for other teams to find. Where data must stay in the country, Mule runtimes can run on Runtime Fabric in your own data centre or private cloud, managed from the Anypoint control plane. Typical targets in the region include government API gateways and open finance interfaces under the CBUAE and SAMA frameworks.

Delivery runs in Anypoint Studio or Code Builder, with DataWeave for transformations and MUnit tests that run in the CI pipeline before any Mule application is deployed. API Manager applies policies such as client ID enforcement and rate limiting, and Anypoint Monitoring gives operations a view of each application. Deployments go to CloudHub 2.0 or Runtime Fabric through the Mule Maven plugin, never by hand.

How we implement MuleSoft Anypoint Platform

From blueprint to go-live and beyond: configuration, integration and support from one accountable team.

  • Blueprint and governance

The API catalogue, naming and versioning rules, and the split between system, process and experience layers are written down first and signed off by your integration architect and the owners of the core systems.

  • API specifications first

RAML or OpenAPI specifications designed and mocked in Design Center, so consuming teams can test against an API before its implementation exists.

  • Anypoint Exchange as the catalogue

Templates, connectors and API fragments published to Anypoint Exchange with an owner and documentation, so developers find what exists by searching rather than by asking around.

  • Mule 4 migration

Mule 3 applications moved to Mule 4 in planned waves, with DataWeave 1 scripts rewritten, regression tests in MUnit and a way back to the previous version for each wave.

  • Hypercare and managed support

After go-live we track Mule runtime patch updates and the end-of-support date of each Mule version, renew certificates and client credentials, and watch response times and error rates in Anypoint Monitoring.

When MuleSoft is the right choice

MuleSoft suits organisations that want to treat integration as a catalogue of managed APIs, often those already on Salesforce, and that have developers comfortable with code, Maven and CI pipelines.

  • Developers able to work in Anypoint Studio, Maven and Git
  • An agreed owner for each system API and its consumers
  • A hosting decision between CloudHub 2.0 and Runtime Fabric for each environment
  • A clear view of the licence model and the runtime capacity each environment needs
