IoT and connected operations in healthcare and life sciences

We connect sensors and equipment to platforms that turn their data into alerts and work orders for the people who maintain the assets.

In an IoT programme, device onboarding, network security and data volumes need planning from day one. We design the device, edge and cloud layers together and connect the results to maintenance and operations systems.

Healthcare providers, insurers and life sciences companies work under patient safety obligations and strict health data rules. Clinical leaders, privacy officers and IT need to agree how data is accessed and shared before anything is configured. Device connectivity falls under TDRA's IoT regulatory policy in the UAE and CST rules in Saudi Arabia, and connected operational equipment under OT security requirements such as NCA OTCC.

After stabilisation we hand over to your teams or keep running the service with you.

Alongside sector regulation, we often map delivery evidence to cross-industry baselines such as the UAE Information Assurance Regulation issued by TDRA, the NCA Essential Cybersecurity Controls in Saudi Arabia and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, which many risk reviewers already use.

How the work is organised

From design to stable operation, with the evidence clinical governance committees, privacy offices and health regulators ask for.

  • Device onboarding

Device identity, provisioning and firmware updates managed centrally, with a register of what is deployed.

  • Edge and network security

Segmented networks and edge gateways that keep operational equipment separate from office IT.

  • Turning data into action

Telemetry stored and analysed, with alerts and work orders passed to the teams who maintain the assets.

  • Health regulators and exchanges

We work within the requirements of the authority that licenses you: DOH in Abu Dhabi, DHA in Dubai or MOHAP in the UAE, or the Ministry of Health, the Saudi Food and Drug Authority and the National Health Information Center in Saudi Arabia. In Saudi Arabia, health insurance claims follow the Council of Health Insurance's rules through NPHIES, and public hospitals are grouped into health clusters under Health Holding. Integration with exchanges such as Malaffi, Nabidh, Riayati and NPHIES is planned where your services use them.

  • Connectivity choice

Cellular, private network or fixed connectivity chosen for each site, with SIM and device management planned.

  • Analytics and models

Alert thresholds first, then models for patterns such as wear or unusual energy use, tested against history.

Checks before you start

An IoT programme is ready to start when operations has picked the assets and knows which decision the data should support.

  • The licensing authority and any health information exchange you report to have been identified.
  • Operations has chosen the assets to start with and agreed what data it needs from them.
  • The network and OT owners at each pilot site have agreed how devices will connect.
