Platform implementation

Siemens MindSphere

We connect Siemens controllers and other plant equipment to MindSphere, so asset health and energy use can be compared across every site you run.

Siemens now markets MindSphere as Insights Hub, part of its Siemens Xcelerator portfolio, and the work is unchanged: bringing SIMATIC controllers and other equipment into one asset model that several plants share. It is a cloud service, so data protection and residency are designed in from the start, whether under the UAE PDPL or, in Saudi Arabia, the PDPL and NCA OTCC for industrial systems.

MindConnect is where delivery starts: MindConnect Nano devices or software agents on the plant network, then data point mappings, then asset types and aspects built in Asset Manager. Fleet Manager gives each site its own view, and Visual Flow Creator holds rules that operators can read and adjust without programming.

How we implement Siemens MindSphere

From blueprint to go-live and beyond: configuration, integration and support from one accountable team.

  • Blueprint and governance

We agree the asset type hierarchy, the aspects each asset carries, sampling rates and the tenant's user roles first; the operations lead and OT security then approve them.

  • One hierarchy for many sites

A single structure for plants, lines and machines, so a pump at one site compares directly with its twin at another.

  • Energy and utilities tracking

Power, compressed air and water readings tied to assets and shifts, for plants that report energy intensity.

  • Processing at the edge

Siemens Industrial Edge apps that filter or aggregate data near the machine before it is sent to Insights Hub.

  • Hypercare and managed support

Siemens updates Insights Hub as a cloud service, so we review each release note, retest flows and dashboards, and watch agent connectivity and data volumes against the subscription.

Signs Insights Hub is the natural fit

It fits best where Siemens controllers and drives dominate the plant floor and the company would rather use a managed cloud service than run its own IoT platform.

  • A largely Siemens control estate, such as S7 PLCs and SINAMICS drives
  • Clearance from data protection to send plant data to a cloud service
  • Several sites that should share one asset structure
  • An operations owner for each asset type
