Platform implementation

OutSystems

We implement OutSystems for teams that build customer-facing and core business applications quickly, with an architecture that still holds up once the modules number in the dozens.

OutSystems work gives architecture as much weight as screens. It starts with the choice between OutSystems 11 (O11) and OutSystems Developer Cloud (ODC): O11 can run on infrastructure you manage, which keeps applications and data inside the UAE or Saudi Arabia, while ODC is a cloud-native service whose region options we confirm with OutSystems. Public-facing apps in the region usually need Arabic right-to-left layouts tested on real devices.

Developers work in Service Studio, use Integration Studio for extensions on O11, and take Forge components where they save real effort. LifeTime manages environments and deployment plans on O11, and CI pipelines call its APIs so releases run without manual steps; on ODC, the ODC Portal and its APIs play the same role.

How we implement OutSystems

From blueprint to go-live and beyond: configuration, integration and support from one accountable team.

  • Blueprint and governance

The module layering, the O11 or ODC decision, the security approach and the list of integrations are agreed with your architects and security team before the first sprint.

  • Architecture Canvas reviews

Module dependencies checked each sprint against the end-user, core and foundation layers, so shared logic does not end up inside screens.

  • Findings from AI Mentor System

Architecture, performance and security findings from AI Mentor System tracked as work items, with new findings fixed before release.

  • Moving from O11 to ODC

Applications assessed for a move from O11 to ODC, with the changes each one needs planned before any rebuild starts.

  • Hypercare and managed support

On O11 we plan Platform Server upgrades and keep Service Studio in step; on ODC the platform updates itself, so we review OutSystems release notes, retest critical apps and monitor errors, slow queries and failed timers.

When OutSystems fits the brief

OutSystems fits organisations building a portfolio of substantial applications, including customer portals and mobile apps, with a dedicated development team rather than mainly business makers.

  • A dedicated development team for the platform
  • A decision between O11 on your own infrastructure and ODC
  • An architect who owns module layering across all apps
  • Release dates agreed with the business owner of each application
